The Icon Workshop Series

The Icon is offering weekly workshops led by in-house specialists and industry guests. Topics will include demonstrations and discussions of the latest digital workflow and photography techniques. Enrollment is free, but limited, so sign up early! Workshops are held at The Icon in the newly opened Client Lounge.

DIGITAL IMAGE WORKFLOW:
This workshop will help you configure a Lightroom-based imaging workflow

• Basic organization of folders, file names and hard drives
• Setting up a Lightroom Catalog
• Backup strategies
• Automation techniques
• Working with the Lightroom Library

This workshop will guide you in setting up efficient working methods for consistent results, and to establish an image archive that is flexible and expandable. A question and answer session is included to address specific needs of individual photographers.

About Lee Varis:
Lee Varis is a Hollywood photo illustrator, and has been involved in commercial photography for three decades. His images have been featured in National Geographic, Newsweek, and Fortune Magazines, and both his writing and photography have been featured in trade journals such as PDN, New Media, and others. His pictures have appeared on movie posters, video box covers, and CD covers, and in numerous brochures and catalogues. Lee has been a seminar instructor with APA, PPA, Julia Dean Photographic Workshops, and Apple Computer. Author of “Skin: The Complete Guide to Digitally Lighting Photographing, and Retouching Faces and Bodies.”
