fotographz = @t see leVel by Frank Jackson

June 1 - July 31

About the Exhibition

Frank Jackson invites you to be @t see leVel, where the magic of the everyday unfolds in extraordinary ways. Jackson’s photography is a graduated fine art collection that is the result of meticulous observation.

“Being @t see leVel is about showing you the visual moments not seen by others.
I photograph without hesitation because you should never see a image AND not photograph it to later wish you had… …being at see level is also about “doing” not thinking; about doing.” – Frank Jackson

Only @t see leVel can we hope to grasp the truth. Knowing reality is a condition to overcome our fears. Paradoxically, the precision of Jackson’s photographic observations gives them a romantic touch. They show a world of feelings and emotions.

Join us for the rare opportunity to celebrate a piece of  the life work of an artist for the ages.  A consummate professional, artist, mentor and friend – Frank Jackson.

About the Artist

Frank Jackson is somewhat of an enigma.
A remnant of a bygone era, but he stands as a little-known artist whose mastery encompasses the entire history and practice of the craft of photography. He would famously say, “I started taking pictures because I can not draw.” He then picked up a camera at 16 years old and simply fell in love. Five decades later, Jackson’s photographs confront people with reality. A reality of flesh and blood, hope and fear, dreams, longing, love, lost and found.

For him, reality is about the truth. It may be tempting to run away from the truth. It requires physical and mental interaction in real-time – in public space, there is no escape.

“fotographz” is the name Jackson created to define his visual moment(s) in shadow and light – it is his identity.
