This appointment-only service provides a bespoke approach to scanning, digital capture, retouching, and printing options for your images.

We make it our business to keep up with the latest trends in processes and technologies.

We stock one of the most extensive paper selections anywhere for archival fine art printmaking.

Fine Art appointments are $50 per 30 minutes of consultation. Consultation fee will be applied to any order placed with the Fine Art Department. The fee is non-refundable and will be charged for no-shows.

FINE ART SERVICES

FINE ART PRINTING

Our Fine Art printing service provides you with individualized service, care, and attention to each print. You work directly with the Fine Art department, starting with an initial consultation to discuss goals, view files on-screen to identify areas of concern, choose the optimal paper, and set up a timeline for your project. Each image printed includes a free test print for your approval and the opportunity to make adjustments before the final print.

RETOUCHING

Retouching services can be used for a variety of reasons to adjust an image. Examples include removing stray hair, changing your hair color, beauty retouching, composition, or even removing elements entirely. Work directly with our customer service team and creative wizards to discuss your needs. We’ll estimate the cost and send you the results digitally for approval.

RESTORATION

Restoration services bring back photography or artwork to their original (or better) versions. Talk to our specialists to restore scuff marks, dust damage, scratches, fold marks, markings, water damage, fading, discoloration, or torn images and artwork. We scan originals up to 12” x17” on our commercial-grade flatbed scanner or digitally capture larger photographs and artwork.

DIGITAL CAPTURE

Digital Capture creates a large digital file from your two or three-dimensional artwork. With the digital file, you can retouch and make image enhancements, print reproductions, upload to your website, or keep the image as an archive. We use a Hasselblad Phase One P45+ camera system and Hasselblad lenses to produce large-resolution files of exceptional quality, capturing all the intricate details of your artwork.

FLATBED SCANS

With a maximum scanning area of 12” x 17”, our commercial-grade flatbed scanner and experienced staff members can capture amazing detail from your reflective artwork, be it a new or vintage photograph or original artwork. Perfect if you have an older print that’s seen better days, in combination with our Retouching service, or a print you want to share with your family and loved ones.

IMACON SCANS

The Flextight X5 scanner by Hasselblad produces excellent, near Drum Scan quality files at a fraction of the drum scan cost. Ideal for editorial, portfolio, retouching, web use, or large printing. The X5 scanner has a dynamic range of up to 4.9, and a maximum non-interpolated optical resolution of 8000 dpi for 135mm, 3200 dpi for 120 film, and +2000 dpi for 4×5 film— ensuring your color negatives, black & white negatives, and chromes are scanned for optimal quality.

DRUM SCANS

Priced per single image, a Drum scan captures the full tonal range and detail in any original. Ideal for capturing your image to retouch, and larger size reproduction, we scan film from 35mm up to 8×10—as well as non standard film sizes such as 110, 126 and panoramics.
