The E6 process is a chromogenic photographic process specifically designed for developing Ektachrome, Fujichrome, and other color reversal films. Unlike some other color reversal processes, E6 processing allows individual users to develop their films using equipment commonly used for processing black and white negative or C-41 color negative films.

It is important to note that the E6 process is highly sensitive to temperature variations. To ensure precise results, a heated water bath is essential for stabilizing the temperature at 100.0 °F (37.8 °C) during the first developer and first wash stages.

What Is C41 Film?

C41 film is the gold standard when it comes to color film development. This highly reliable and widely-used process involves subjecting color film to a meticulously controlled series of temperature-controlled chemical baths using dip and dunk technology. By undergoing this transformative journey, C41 film converts the exposed camera images into negative photographic images with exceptional color accuracy and clarity.

Regardless of the film’s manufacturer, C41 processing follows a standardized processing time, ensuring consistent and predictable results. C41 film opens up a world of creative possibilities, allowing you to capture vibrant and true-to-life colors, which can then be printed onto photographic paper for physical enjoyment or scanned into digital format for versatile digital applications. Embrace the beauty and versatility of C41 film and unlock a whole new dimension of visual storytelling.

Beautiful Work

I love The Icon and have been using them since my photo school days. I recently had a photo I’d taken on my phone enlarged in both glossy and lustre, and to my surprise both turned out beautifully!
